Nothing spells romance like breaking the law and discovering hidden treasures in your own backyard.
Spruce street suspension bridge – this “hidden” treasure can be found right off Spruce and First Ave. hold hands as you walk across the shaky bridge and look down on the gorgeous plants and vegetation commonly found around the Balboa Park area.
Adobe falls – don’t say I sent you, but sneak in and explore the colorful rocks and waterfall right inside the San Diego city limits.
Watch the sunset or sunrise
Bundle up in sweaters, grab a blanket, maybe even a mug full of secret wine and hit the sand. North PB has cozy little coves that provide privacy and just the right amount of romance. Sunset Cliffs is another beautiful place to find a bench, or bring a blanket and sit together on a cliff as you watch day turn to night together. If you can’t get to either of these two places, simply find a beach anywhere along San Diego’s 70+ miles of coastline, cuddle up and enjoy the moment together.
