You know life is good when you’re surrounded by people you love and who love you back.
You know life is good when you repeat “this was the best birthday yet” and you mean it.
You know life is good when you are genuinely happy on the inside and out and only feel positivity and optimism about the days ahead.
I’ve said it before and my birthday weekend confirmed it – 26 will be my best year yet.
To recap the crazy amazingness that was my birthday weekend:
Thursday – I threw a girls only “Pure Romance” party at my house. Wine and appetizers, laughs and naughtiness were free flowing. It was such a fun night!
Friday – Two of my good guy friends from back home got to San Diego (in addition to my friend Melissa who has been here for a little while now). A full house is a happy house! The madness began at 5pm sharp! We “kept it chill” by just going out around PB but ended up with all of us not knowing how we made it home and loving every moment of it of the memories we pieced together the next morning.
Saturday – I spent 5 lovely hours sipping mimosas and getting my hair done. It looks amazing and that makes me very happy.
My friend Jayme (whose birthday is the day after mine) arrived in town Saturday afternoon. It was so nice to have her here! Saturday night we all went out to Omnia – one of the hottest Vegas style nightclubs in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego. Pro tip: follow club promoters on Instagram and you get your group on the guest list and in for free.
If you ever have the chance to party at Omnia DO IT! The music was amazing, the confetti falling from the sky was cool, the free VIP table and free champagne on the dance floor was epic and the three levels – one outdoor rooftop level – are all astonishing and fun to explore. The night was spent laughing, dancing with friends and loving every part of being there in that moment. This was probably one of my favorite nightclub experiences ever. SO much fun!
On Sunday we all mostly hung out at my house, laughing, enjoying each other’s company and eating the best delivery Thai food ever!
Monday – my actual birthday – I might have had a really cute date with a super cute guy. Delicious dinner at The Lot and fruity cocktails at George’s. It was cute.
Definitely a birthday for the books! And it was all made possible with a god attitude, even better friends and all the fun San Diego has to offer! Looking forward to a blessed year and moving on to planning for a marvelous NYE celebration!
